面試前必知:外商面試官在意什麼?

在拆解問題之前,先理解外商面試的評分邏輯:

  • Communication clarity(溝通清晰度):不是看你英文多「漂亮」,而是看你能不能把想法講清楚

  • Structure(結構感):回答有邏輯、有層次,比流利但散亂更加分

Question 1: Tell me about yourself.(請自我介紹)

這是 100% 會出現的第一題,也是你掌控全場的最佳機會。

回答框架:Past → Present → Future(過去 → 現在 → 未來)

"I have over five years of experience in digital marketing, primarily in the e-commerce sector. Currently, I'm leading a team of four at [Company], where we've increased organic traffic by 40% in the past year. I'm now looking to bring my expertise to a global brand where I can contribute to cross-market growth strategies."

  • "I have [X] years of experience in [field]..."

  • "Currently, I'm responsible for..."

  • "I'm now looking to [future goal]..."

⚠️ 常見錯誤:從大學講起、講太多個人生活、沒有連結到應徵職位。自我介紹控制在 60-90 秒內。

Question 2: Why are you interested in this role?(你為什麼對這個職位有興趣?)

回答框架:Company Research + Skill Alignment + Motivation

"I've been following [Company]'s expansion into the APAC market, and I'm impressed by your commitment to localized content strategies. My background in cross-cultural marketing aligns well with this direction, and I'm excited about the opportunity to contribute to a team that values both data-driven decisions and creative storytelling."

實用句型:

  • "I've been following [Company]'s work in..."

  • "My background in [X] aligns well with..."

⚠️ 常見錯誤:只說「因為想進外商」或「薪水比較好」。務必展現你對公司的研究。

Question 3: What are your strengths?(你的優勢是什麼?)

回答框架:Strength + Evidence + Relevance

"One of my key strengths is cross-functional collaboration. In my current role, I regularly work with engineering, design, and sales teams to align on product launches. For example, I led a cross-departmental project last quarter that reduced our go-to-market time by 30%. I believe this ability to bridge different teams would be valuable in this role."

Question 4: What is your biggest weakness?(你最大的弱點是什麼?)

這題不是要你自爆缺點,而是展現你的 self-awarenessgrowth mindset

回答框架:Real Weakness + Awareness + Action Taken

"I used to struggle with delegating tasks — I wanted everything to meet my personal standard. I realized this was limiting my team's growth, so I started implementing a structured feedback process. Now I focus on setting clear expectations upfront and trusting my team to deliver, which has actually improved our overall output quality."

實用句型:

⚠️ 常見錯誤:說「I'm a perfectionist」(太老套)或說一個跟職位核心能力直接衝突的弱點。

Question 5: Tell me about a time you faced a challenge at work.(分享一個你在工作中遇到挑戰的經驗)

行為面試題(Behavioral Question)是外商面試的重頭戲。用 STAR 框架回答:

Situation → Task → Action → Result

"Last year, our main client threatened to cancel a $200K contract due to delivery delays (Situation). I was tasked with retaining the account (Task). I organized daily stand-ups with the product team, created a transparent progress dashboard for the client, and personally handled weekly check-in calls (Action). Within six weeks, we not only saved the contract but the client increased their spend by 15% the following quarter (Result)."

Question 6: Where do you see yourself in five years?(五年後你在哪裡?)

回答框架:Growth within the company + Skill development

"In five years, I see myself having grown into a leadership role within the marketing function — ideally managing a regional team. I'm particularly interested in developing my expertise in data analytics and cross-market strategy. I see this role as the perfect foundation for that trajectory."

⚠️ 常見錯誤:說「I want to start my own business」或者太模糊的回答如「I just want to keep learning」。

Question 7: Why are you leaving your current job?(你為什麼要離開現在的工作?)

回答框架:Positive framing + Forward-looking

"I've learned a tremendous amount in my current role, especially in managing local campaigns. However, I'm now ready for a bigger challenge — specifically, the opportunity to work on global-scale projects and collaborate with international teams. That's what drew me to this position."

關鍵原則:永遠不要批評前公司或主管。即使離開的原因是負面的,也要用正面框架表達。

Question 8: How do you handle pressure or tight deadlines?(你怎麼處理壓力或趕死線的狀況?)

Question 9: Do you have any questions for us?(你有什麼問題想問我們嗎?)

這題的答案是:永遠都要問。不問問題 = 沒興趣。

高質感提問範例:

  • "What does success look like in this role within the first 90 days?"

  • "How would you describe the team culture?"

  • "What are the biggest challenges the team is currently facing?"

  • "Is there anything about my background that gives you any hesitation?"

⚠️ 不要問的:薪水(第一輪不適合)、假期天數、「你們公司在做什麼」(顯示你沒做功課)。

Question 10: What are your salary expectations?(你期望的薪資是多少?)

回答框架:Research-based range + Flexibility

"Based on my research and understanding of the market rate for this role in Taiwan, I'm looking at a range of NT$X to NT$Y per month. However, I'm open to discussing the overall compensation package, including benefits and growth opportunities. I'm most focused on finding the right fit."
